The role of the Department of Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development
is to foster a fair and dynamic marketplace and encourage responsible practices
and sustainable growth in the tourism, wine, liquor and hospitality industries
in Queensland.
The Environmental Protection Agency, which includes the Queensland Parks and
Wildlife Service (QPWS), is a department of the Queensland Government. The EPA
strives to protect Queensland’s natural and cultural heritage, promote sustainable
use of its natural capital and ensure a clean environment.
The Office of Fair Trading promotes the existence of a fair and ethical marketplace
within the community.
OSR is responsible for the delivery and administration of simple, efficient and
equitable revenue management services for State taxes and grant and subsidy schemes.
The Department of Infrastructure was created by the Queensland Government on
15 January 2007 to deliver critical infrastructure projects.
The OUMs' mission is to provide leadership in regional planning and to manage
urban growth and the effective provision of infrastructure in South East Queensland.
